PEER RESPONSES TO ARTWORK

1. Hyperlink the Blogs you reviewed into your Blog

2. When looking at Project #1: (Elements and Principles), did you agree with the element or principle the artist listed with the images? Did you see other elements and principles in the images?
For peer #1, I believe the photos captured clearly represented the elements and principles. The pictures were not over thought, simple, yet, unique.
With peer #2 project, I found that she was creative with how she incorporated the elements and principles. It was done with everyday objects which made it more realistic.

3. When looking at Project #2: Where there any images in the Peer Blogs the same as your own? If yes, what were they? Where the reasons the image was selected the same or different as your own?
I found that with peer #1, we selected the 2 of the same pictures to use for our project. It was interesting to see how what attracted me, also attracted someone else, however, it could've been for completely different reasons. As I read throughout the project, I noticed that they wrote about the Falling Man, and the piece done by, Yuji Agematsu. With the piece done by Yuji, I realized we shared an interest with NYC, which could have been a reason why we were attracted to it.

4. Where there any images that your Peers selected that pique your interest now? If yes, what are they and what is your connection with them? What would you want to know about them?
With this, I did notice that with peer #1, the images she chose attracted me. The one that stood out the most was, Pablo Picasso’s Nude Figure. The reason that it intrigued me was because the more I looked at it, the more questions I had. With this piece I would love to know more about the mindset of the artist when this was created and what inspired him to create it.

5. What do you think about  the process of reading your peers reflection? Do you find this to be a valuable in your learning?
I found that this process is effective, it allows for feedback that could encourage and help us with other projects. It is also a good way for us as an online class to interact and have the same effects as if it were in an actual classroom.

6. Check your Blog and read comments posted by your Peers. Do you find their comments helpful?
